The Tenosight L‑Dual 850/940 nm is a dual wavelength infrared illuminator designed for hunters, rescue teams, and night vision users who need strong long range performance.
It delivers adjustable IR output at 850 or 940 nm with a reach of up to 550 m, supported by a 36 mm lens and an IPX6 water resistant aluminum body.
Operation is simple with a main button for power and intensity control and a rotary selector for wavelength and beam width adjustment.
Powered by a single 18650 Li‑ion battery, it provides up to 2.5 hours of runtime.
Package Included: lluminator, USB charger, and strap. The battery is not included.
Two wavelengths, one versatile tool - the Laser infrared illuminator TenoSight L‑DUAL 940 + 850 nm delivers exactly the flexibility you need.
An exceptionally strong infrared illuminator capable of projecting dual IR light (850nm or 940nm) out to 550 metres, built for hunters and rescue teams who rely on superior night‑time visibility.
Optimised for hunters and rescue teams who need reliable clarity in complete darkness, this is a Long‑range IR output for demanding environments with the capability of alterning between wavelenghts to better suit your needs.
Designed for intuitive operation:
Control is straightforward thanks to the combination of a main button and a rotary selector.
Use the main button to power the device on or off and rotate it to fine‑tune light intensity.
The rotary dial lets you switch between 940 nm and 850 nm, enabling visibility up to 550 metres.
The rotating head allows you to adjust beam width to match your environment.
Its housing is made from durable materials and includes water resistance, ensuring reliability in the field.
Power supply:
The unit runs on a single 18650 Li‑ion battery (the battery is not included), providing up to 2.5 hours of continuous use.
Advantages and disadvantages of different wavelenghts:
850 nm IR
Higher IR output - produces a stronger, more efficient infrared beam, giving noticeably better illumination for digital night‑vision devices.
Longer effective range - typically 20 to 40 percent more usable distance compared to 940 nm, ideal for airgun ranges of 50 to 120 m and beyond.
Sharper image quality - sensors are more sensitive at 850 nm, resulting in cleaner, brighter images with less noise.
Visible red glow - it produces a faint red dot at the emitter, which can be seen by animals at close range.
Less covert - not ideal if you want to remain completely undetected.
Best for: maximum performance, longer distances, general night shooting, digital NV scopes.
940 nm IR
Near‑invisible emitter - the glow is extremely faint, making it far harder for animals to detect.
Better for stealth hunting -especially useful for wary species or close‑range pest control.
Reduced sensor sensitivity -digital NV devices pick up less light at 940 nm, so the image is dimmer.
Shorter effective range - typically 30 to 40 percent less reach than 850 nm.
More noise in the image - the device compensates by increasing gain, which can introduce grain.
Best for: stealth‑critical situations, close to medium range, avoiding visible signature.
Get the most of your night vision device - A tool for hunters but also a versatile support companion for adventurers and wildlife observation.
