Cookie Policy

Last updated: 01 January 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on the user's device — computer, tablet or mobile phone — when they visit a website. They allow the site to recognise the device on later visits, save preferences and collect information about how the site is used. In this Policy, the term "cookies" also covers equivalent technologies such as pixels, local storage and device identifiers.

2. How consent works on this website

2.1. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work are placed without consent, because they are essential to provide the service expressly requested by the user, under Article 5 of Lei n.º 41/2004 (the Portuguese law implementing the ePrivacy Directive).

2.2. All other cookies — functional, analytics and advertising — are placed only after the user has given consent through the banner shown on the first visit. Until then, the relevant scripts remain blocked.

2.3. In the banner, the user can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies — just as easily and just as prominently as accepting them — or choose, category by category, which ones to allow.

2.4. Consent can be withdrawn or changed at any time, as easily as it was given, through the "Cookie settings" link permanently available in the website footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before then.

2.5. Continuing to browse, scrolling the page or closing the banner does not constitute consent. Not refusing is not the same as accepting.

2.6. We keep a record of the consent given — date, time and options chosen — for 12 months.

3. Categories of cookies used

3.1. Strictly necessary cookies. These allow browsing and the use of essential features, such as keeping the user signed in, saving the contents of the shopping basket, processing the order and ensuring security. Without these cookies, the website does not work.

3.2. Functional cookies. These save user preferences, such as language, currency or how products are displayed, making the site more convenient to use.

3.3. Analytics cookies. These collect aggregated information about how the website is used — pages visited, time spent, where visits come from — to help us understand what works and improve the shop.

3.4. Advertising and social media cookies. These allow us to measure how effective campaigns are and to show relevant content on and off the website.

5. Third-party cookies and international transfers

Analytics and advertising cookies are placed by third parties, which act as controllers or as our processors, depending on the case, and which may process data outside the European Economic Area. Those transfers are made under the mechanisms described in point 6 of the Privacy Policy. We recommend that you read those parties' privacy policies:

6. Managing cookies in your browser

In addition to the settings available on this website, users can configure their browser to block or delete cookies. The instructions vary from browser to browser and can be found on the relevant support pages (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the website from working properly, in particular the use of the shopping basket and the completion of orders.

7. Personal data and rights

Information collected through cookies may constitute personal data. The rules and rights described in the Privacy Policy apply to it in full, including the right of access, the right to object and the right to lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (the Portuguese data protection authority).

8. Changes to this Policy

This Policy is updated whenever the cookies used change. The date of the last update appears at the beginning of the document.
