In Field Target and Benchrest competitions, a big side wheel is one of the most useful upgrades a shooter can make.
The larger diameter makes focus and parallax adjustments much finer and easier to read. In Field Target, many shooters use it to estimate the distance to the target by focusing the image, marking the distances directly on the wheel.
In Benchrest, it allows precise parallax correction, helping to remove aiming errors and achieve tighter groups.
